Emmett O'Keeffe, MA - Archaeologist
I am originally from Ireland and have worked on archaeological projects in both Europe and North America. I'm currently completing a PhD thesis examining the hunter-gatherer archaeology of Ireland and Britain. My primary interests lie in prehistoric landscape archaeology, the archaeology of stone tools and archaeological computing. Previously I was the archaeologist for the Irish Stone Axe Project and the GIS specialist for the Neolithic and Bronze Age Landscapes of North Mayo Project. I have published a number of collaborative academic papers. I am an avid flint-knapper and I have undertaken flint-knapping demonstrations and stone technology lectures for a diverse range of groups such as the National Museum of Ireland and the Culinary Institute of America.
